Meet Deacon Mike Daly

When asked about his experience and the path to joining JPG, Director of Infrastructure and Security Deacon Mike Daly said:

“I came to St. John Paul the Great after retiring from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, one of the largest Sherrif’s offices in the state. During my 21 year law enforcement career, I experienced a range of assignments and disciplines in detentions, patrol, systems development, personnel management, and career development. Retiring with the rank of Commander, I bring to SJP the knowledge to build and maintain the building and all its mechanical systems to ensure the safety and security of the student body, faculty, and staff.

I was ordained to the Permanent Diaconate in June 2015, and while working at SJP, I will be maintaining my diaconal assignment to minister at Our Lake of Fatima Parish. I have been married for over 22 years to my wife, Megan, and we have six children. I am an avid hunter, runner, and weightlifter, and I love to hike throughout Colorado.

A significant aspect of my service to the Church is to help everyone realize their path to salvation by coming to know God through all that is True, Good and Beautiful. I often find my interactions with the faithful tend to move in the direction of realizing their human potential God has given each person by their dignity and more so by the grace of the sacraments. I have the unique opportunity to serve the school community through my mission by the grace of holy orders. I believe my diaconal nature, as an icon of Christ the servant, will benefit all aspects of the culture throughout our school community.”
